The main purposes of this study were to explore relationships among mathematics anxiety, spatial anxiety, math performance and spatial ability, as well as the problem solving strategies and type errors in spatial test. A total of 103 samples from third and fourth graders in primary schools. A survey research was adopted. The main findings of the study were presented as follows:
1.No significant differences of gender and age in spatial ability as well as spatial anxiety of subjects were found.
2.Mathematics anxiety was a better predictor than spatial anxiety to influence the mathematics performance and spatial ability for third and fourth graders in primary schools. Subjects who had higher mathematics anxiety got poorer mathematics performance and spatial ability.
3.School children showed several problem solving strategies and type errors.
