The evolution of information and communication technologies bring IoT (Internet of Things) from a concept to actual applications in modern world. In the meantime, economic development and civilization produce more complicated problems to our environment. The growing cities must be ruled by efficient mechanism to create better lives to residents. Thus, “Smart City” is becoming a trend of city planning and management around the world. The highest ratio of smart cities focus on traffic and energy issues, which are the most common and should be solved to keep sustainability. The infrastructure of solutions for above requests three characteristics of relevant equipment, resistance of environmental conditions, high transfer rate and capacity, and high stability. Since DRAM module is not profitable due to standardization and price competition, the non-volatile memory modules like NAND flash module are better to create differentiation market and chase profit margins. The characteristics are the directions of case company to figure out strategies of product development. For the past five years, the case company concentrates on improving customization system to handle more and more orders with variable demands. Base on this, the case company can have more opportunities to design products along with the demand from the field directly. The cooperative model with the customers can be solid since the products are customized and not easy to be replaced. Moreover, the partnership with memory chip manufacturers and chip packaging plants has also been another advantage in resource and cost control. This research stands in case company’s shoes to have complete technical roadmap and development plan and is willing to satisfy more customers in the market to boost the growth in next three years.
