艾米．畢琦(Amy Beach, 1867-1944)為十九世紀後半公認非常成功之女性作曲家，其作曲方式多半由自學而成，作品型態包括鋼琴獨奏、室內樂、聲樂藝術歌曲、聖樂合唱、世俗合唱、交響曲甚至是歌劇，可說是相當多產的作曲家。本論文所探討之鋼琴五重奏為畢琦於1907年所作之室內樂作品，其創作靈感來自布拉姆斯的鋼琴五重奏，除了主題動機的採用，作曲手法上亦兼容並蓄地綜合古典時期樂曲架構與浪漫時期和聲語彙，形成自己的創作特色。
本論文由五個章節組成，第一章為研究動機與研究方法；第二章為畢琦的生平與創作風格；第三章為此五重奏之樂曲特色，就樂曲結構、個人創作特色、浪漫時期和聲語彙及本曲聲響效果進行探討；第四章為鋼琴合作藝術角度之演奏詮釋，為室內樂於鋼琴合作藝術之實踐心得；第五章為結論。

Amy Beach (1867-1944), one of the famous American female composers in the late19th century, educated and devoted herself to composition with a program of self-study. Her compositional genres were varied, including works for keyboard, orchestra, chamber music, sacred choral, secular choral, symphony and opera. The work Piano Quintet in F Sharp Minor, Op. 67, discussed in this essay, was inspired by Johannes Brahms, which not only adopted the subject of Piano Quintet, Op.34, but also the techniques of his composition. This piece also compatibly combined Classical music structure and Romantic harmonic language, which made Amy Beach’s composing features. This interests me to choose this work as a case to study and examine its components.
This essay is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is an introduction of the author’s motivation and research method. The second chapter is the biography of Amy Beach and her compositional style. The third chapter is the study of Piano Quintet Op. 67, including the background, Romantic harmony, music form, individual style and sound effects. The fourth chapter is the interpretation from the point of view of a collaborative pianist who experiences practical trainings in chamber music. The final chapter is the conclusion.
