The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the factors which will influence foreign students in choosing a Higher education institution in Taiwan to study since the HEIs market in Taiwan is in a highly competitive situation and the foreign students’ choice was following an unusual standard compare to global conditions but enjoying an increasing trend in the past ten years. Past and current foreign students complying to the TW government – Oversea Chinese, International and Mainland China students who is studying or study before would be interviewed by testing the global well-known standards in selecting a HEI and the selling points of the successful HEIs in TW of foreign students’ admission in 5 kind of dimensions: Marketing implementation plans – Product and Service, Place and Price, Promotion, Admission processes and also Managerial strategies in both operational and strategic level for the sake to find out the dominant factors in the foreign students’ recruitment in Taiwan’s reality. This research will demonstrate the significant and valuable insights for Taiwan’s HEI top management could take into account while developing foreign students’ admission strategies as the available local students is declining and the earning of foreign students would become one of the battlefield of getting survive and success.
