At Present, the marking quality inspection at the marking station is conducted only with visual organs by the attended personnel in the time of pre- and post-operation. Especially the most one is performed by the line machine QC vehicle. It’s stable and dependable. However, owing to the existent factors of human negligence, the personnel inspection is liable to be stuffed with un-correct information. That will make us spend much time to compare the Lot No, Marking Content, Reel No. and the position also. Therefore, this paper presents a concept to design an automatic connection of the QC inspection. The QC inspection uses the image recognition-OCR way to achieve the laser station to ensure the work of laser engraved word quality in line with the factory testing standards. So it can reduce the variability of personnel factor along with improving the convenience of detection and the quality control point of immediacy. At length it can reassure the quality of engraved characters and effectively reduce the manpower requirement. On the other hand, the changing machine frequency is very high on the production line in the arrangement of the product operation. Under the factory specification, the first inspection must be conducted as long as the different batches of products are on the lines. The speed of laser runs very fast and the quantity of inspections performed by the staff in one day are huge. So what the method proposed in this paper is manually set by the staff to grab the image will be changed to grab the image automatically set by the machine. Then through the internet line of company’s database to string the computer together. Finally it can meet an automated way by the data matching and the image processing. This proposal will obviously slow down the manpower requirement, staffing burden and company cost as well. By the description on the fifth chapter the approach adapted, of which the result can be known from the manual and the practical testing that the proposed method in this paper can indeed reduce not only manpower but also costs and simultaneously it can increase the whole output.
