This study aimed to explore the needs, the current situation and the differences by the Special Education Resource Centers in Taitung County for the teachers of the public kindergarten.This study used the self-made “Questionnaire of the investigation on the needs and the current situation of the Support Services provided by the Special Education Resource Center in Taitung County” as the major research tool and supplemented with the “Interview Outline of the needs and the current situation of the Support Services provided by the Special Education Resource Center in Taitung County” to collect teachers’ open-ended opinions on the support services provided by the Special Education Resource Center. In this study, recycling of 158 questionnaires, of which there were 148 valid questionnaires and eight teachers were interviewed. The survey data of the questionnaires were analyzed by using SPSS version 20.0, and the research results of the analysis are listed as follows: 1.The requirement level of spuuort servies provided by the Special Education Resource Center for the teachers in Taitung County was high, between "very much needed" and "need" in the overall scale and in each aspect. As for each aspect, the teaching support, the assessment support, the professional growth support, the administrative support, and the social resource support scored from the highest to lowest sequentially. 2. The obtainable level of spuuort servies provided by the Special Education Resource Center for the teachers in Taitung County was medium low in the overall scale and in each aspect. As for each aspect, the teaching support, the assessment support, the administrative support, the professional growth support, and the social resource support scored from the highest to lowest sequentially. 3.Both the requirement level and the obtainable level of support servies provided by the Special Education Resource Center for the teachers in Taitung County achieved significant difference in the overall scale, each aspect, and in all ites. 4.As for the analysis of the significant differences in each aspect of spuuort servies provided by the Special Education Resource Center for the teachers in Taitung County: (1)The requirement level of support services in different variables of personal background, the variables of ” teacher qualifications, teaching years, teaching classes” achieved significant difference. (2) The obtainable level of support services in different variables of personal background, the variables of ” teaching classes, placement of special needs of children” achieved significant difference. 5.The three items between each aspect of the requirement level and the obtainable level of support services.
Finally, according to the research results, this study suggests relevant recommendations for the educational administrative units, Special Education Resource Centers, and the follow-up researches.
