本研究旨在找出如何管控 I 公司集團內部網域持續成長分佈的 SQL Server。找出 公司內已存在的 SQL Server,並實際訪談各單位資料庫服務的使用實況,整理並分類 各資料庫的用途、大小、使用效能等後。找出資料庫服務整合的門檻。計劃並執行最 佳化配置,將資料庫伺服器虛擬化、集中化或是降低版本為免費版。經過專案研究, 評估整併的成果後。發現可有效管控 SQL Server 數量持續成長的問題,也順勢將企業 架構,成功升級為私有雲。讓原有實體機故障修復及安裝的時數大為降低,提升 SLA 達 99.9%。公司伺服器資產靈活化,管理更透明且便利。
經過本研究的關鍵管理機制,可導正並解決 I 公司當前在資料庫服務分散造成的 問題:1.無法得知資料庫的建置及軟體未經授權的不當使用;2.資料庫系統授權數量統 計不易;3.建立一致的資料庫建置的管理規則,提升內部應用的系統的合理使用率。 如:資料庫版本及系統使用資源掃瞄監控。協助資料庫管理者進行有效軟體授權及資 源的管理。如:將實體機虛擬化,變更為較低的資料庫資源配置、軟體授權費用,甚 至降為免費的資料庫軟體版本(Express)。移除建置多年且近一年無交易的資料服務。
本研究專案經實行結果證明,私有雲能有效的將應用系統虛擬化,且能滿足原有 的服務,集中化伺服器及資料庫的管理,配合節能減碳的伺服器配置,縮減了咨意擴 張的軟體授權,免除 I 公司即將付出的龐大軟體授權成本,有效配置機房空間。企業 私有雲讓管理者能更容易統一監控更高密度的眾多虛擬機器系統的狀態,日常的系統 補丁更容易管控,將 I 公司的資料庫使用及對應的伺服器建置導入正軌。此為本研究 專案建立的機制之可行性與必要性。
The purpose of this research is to manage company Is proliferation of scattered SQL Servers for the use of internal applications, by locating companys SQL Server; interviewing organizational units on the their usage; classifying database servers based on its use, size, and usability; finding the threshold for database service integration; planning and implementing optimal configurations; virtualize, centralize, and downgrading database servers to a more cost-efficient or free version. After consolidation and assessment of the result, this study finds that the proliferation of SQL Server can be effectively controlled by upgrading enterprise architecture to private cloud. This greatly reduces the number of installations and repairs of the physical machine, and increases SLA to 99.9%. The companys server assets are flexible and management is more transparent and convenient.
This studys key management mechanism can increase the organic utilization rate by resolving the problems caused by database service proliferation: 1) inability to know the setup of the database software and any unauthorized use thereof, 2) difficulty in counting number of licenses, and 3) inconsistent database management rules. These mechanisms includes database version and resource usage scan monitoring; assisting database managers in effective software licensing and resource management; virtualizing physical machines to lower resource configurations; downgrading to versions with lower licensing fees or no fees (Express); and removing old database services without any transactions for the past year.

Through implementation of key management mechanisms, this study proves that private cloud can effectively virtualize the application system, while providing the same level of service. The consolidation of server and database management lends itself to energy saving and carbon-reducing configuration and the effective allocation of server rooms. The reduction uncontrolled growth of licenses which eliminates a large cost that company I have to bear otherwise. The enterprise private cloud allows managers to more easily and uniformly monitor the status of multiple virtual machines at higher density. Rectifying company Is database and its corresponding server makes routine system patches easier to manage. This research establishes this mechanism and builds a case for its necessity and feasibility.
