In recent Taiwan, cities have developed rapidly and the urban population is increased densely. As the result, electric power for industrial development and resident's livelihood has increased dramatically. Skyscrapers are built everywhere, and the reliability of electric power transmission on the lines must be concerned of the urban design, and stengthened security of the power supply. To provide high quality, stable and reliable power, requirements for the transmission system is becoming strict. The transmission lines must follow the trend of the times, and should designed in underground, while it's restricted by environments and urban design. Undergrounded transmission lines is not able to design dispersedly, and sometimes it is necessary to bundle under the same road to extend the undergrounded cables. This paper studied the magnetic field distribution of undergrounded transmission cables passing through urban areas and the pipeline phase. Design of order and depth of cables can affect to magnetic field. The electromagnetic effect of the cable current is able to reduced on the ferrule. Under the allowable voltage of 65 volts by TaiPower Company, it is possible to reduce the cable connection point to extend the cable lengthening, thereby creating an increase in power supply reliability and reducing the construction cost of the cable project.
