The contribution of genetic engineering on food became popular over the world with high acceptance in industrialized countries such as UK and USA especially, however, consumers in Asia are still doubtful between the benefits and risks of genetically modified food. In order to measure the purchase intentions of Taiwanese and Vietnamese people by using the theory of planned behavior, a quantitative research was conducted, which the questionnaires were distribute randomly to 250 respondents each in whole Taiwan and in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. To control quantitative method, data analysis through SPSS 23rd version software found out that dependent variable of consumers’ attitude significantly is impacted by three independent variables including perceive risk of health, perceive benefit of health and perceive benefit of environment. However, the other construct named perceive risk of environment shown insignificant effect to consumers’ attitude in two countries. In relevant with behavioral intention model, the consistency result in both countries with subjective norm and attitude was revealed positive impact on the purchase intention in descended level, while the variable of perceive behavioral control did not contribute on affecting on purchase intention significantly. Finally, limitations and suggestions for future studies are also mentioned. Hopefully, this this study will contribute to evaluate consumers'' attitudes and purchase intentions in Taiwan and Vietnam regarding GM food.
