摘要

在19世紀末，佛瑞的室內樂作品具有相當重要的地位，相較於作曲家的其他作品中，室內樂較常被人們演奏。庫柏(Martin Cooper)曾在書裡提及: 「自1864年，法國音樂有兩條主流；一是古諾，一是聖桑。古諾較著重於情感及音色的表達；聖桑較注重於音樂形式結構及旋律線條的組織。」在佛瑞的樂曲中可以發現，他的室內樂風格融合了古諾(Gounod, Charles 1818-1893)與聖桑(Camille Saint-Saëns, 1835-1922)的特色，並使用一些傳統的音樂手法，如奏鳴曲式、卡農技法、以及對位手法等，將這些創作手法內化後，發展出屬於自己的音樂語言。
A大調小提琴奏鳴曲作品13是佛瑞在國家音樂協會(Sociétè National de Musique)和聖桑的激勵下開始創作的第一首室內樂作品，但因作曲家本身不會演奏小提琴，故在恩師聖桑及比利時小提琴家雷歐納(Hubert Leonard, 1819-1890)的協助下始能完成。
本論文除了介紹佛瑞的生平、室內樂概述等，筆者也會針對各樂章中的內容，樂曲的脈絡與樂曲的內涵進行深度探討，並研究合乎現代演奏技術與樂曲內涵的弓指法，以尋得更為理想合宜的音樂表現。

Abstract

At the end of the nineteenth century, Gabriel Faurè’s chamber music was of great importance. That is the reason why his chamber music works are played more often than his other works. Martin Cooper stated in his book that there had been two mainstreams in French music: one was Gounod, and the other was Saint-Saëns since 1864. The former put much emphasis on emotional and tonal expressions, while the latter stressed the structure of form and the organization of rhythms. Faurè’s chamber music combines the characteristic of Gounod and Saint-Saëns. The composer adopted some conventional skills, such as sonata form, canon, and counterpoint. He internalized these methods and created his special music language.
Violin Sonata in A major, op. 13 is the first work of Faurè chamber music. He was inspired by Sociétè National de Musique and Saint-Saëns. Unable to play the violin, Faurè completed the piece with the assistance of his teacher Saint-Saëns, and his friend Hubert Leonard.
This thesis introduces Faurè’s life and chamber music, and followed by the in-depth discussion of the work’s context and content. Appropriate modern-day fingerings and bowings for the musical content are also being analyzed in order to help fellow players to pursue ideal performances.
