In a climate investigation reported by United Nations on October 8th, 2018, it is indicated that the global temperature will rise 1.5 Celsius by 2030. This climate change can bring overwhelming and unpredictable climate disasters. The impact and damage brought by climate disasters to the ecological environment highlight the importance of wetland conservation. Above all, tourist environmental behavior plays a crucial part in the sustainable development of wetland environment, and the environment value of tourists is the key factor of their environmental attitudes and environmental behaviors.
Wetland in Yuanjhong Harbor is located in the metropolitan area of Kaohsiung. It nurtures various species of fiddler crabs, mud skippers, mudflat creatures, plants, insects and birds. Numerous tourists are attracted by the beautiful restored Hydrophasianus chirurgus, the unique natural landscape of mangrove forest and the spectacular ecologic view of carclisoma carnifex laying eggs in the ocean. These are the major precious nature asset in the Nanzih district of Kaohsiung. Wetland can helps to adjust the temperature, filter and collect sediment from runoff water. It also functions in aiding flood control by draining excess water during typhoon season. This study aims at discussing the tourist biospheric value in Wetland in Yuanjhong Harbor, environmental self-identification, and the correlation between environmental attitude and environmentally responsible behavior, by applying structural equation modeling to verify the research architecture and hypothesis.
