This study intends to explore the association between the three geno-types of ADRB2 gene rs1042719 single nucleotide polymorphism (GG, GC, CC), body fat rate (BFR), body mass index (BMI) in Taiwanese population on exercise. Data sources from the Taiwan Biobank, which collects data of Taiwanese adults.A total of 7,642 participants were entered the research and analysis stage. There were 2,441 people in the genotype GG genotype, 3,794 people in the genotype GC genotype, and 1,407 people in the CC genotype.
Linear regression analysis of the three genotypes of ADRB2 gene rs1042719 single nucleotide polymorphism (GG, GC, CC), exercise habits and body fat rate (BFR), body mass index (BMI) correlation, after adjusting the confounding factors, Further stratified analysis by gender.
In the result, linear regression analysis was performed, of which GG group was Aerobic exercise habits were significantly (β=-0.19169, p=0.0027). After further stratified analysis by gender, the male GG group had significant aerobic exercise habits (β=-0.29383, p=0.0460); according to genotype (GG, GC, CC) and exercise habits (ref. = those without exercise habits). For the body fat percentage (BFR), linear re-gression analysis was performed after adjusting the interference factors. Among them, the GG group had significant ball exercise habits (β = -1.29740, p=0.0156), the GC group had significant aerobic exercise (β=-3.58017, p=0.0004), and the CC group had significant aerobic exercise (β=-0.39159, p=0.0414), further by gender After stratified analysis, the male GG group had significant ball exercise habits (β = -1.61618, p = 0.0143), the male GC group had significant aerobic ex-ercise habits (β = -0.60851, p = 0.0009), and male CC The group had significant aerobic exercise habits (β = -0.65681, p = 0.0399).
The results of this study show that the rs1042719 genotype GG group is in the exercise group (ref=no exercise habit group), the aerobic ex-ercise habit group has a lower trend in BMI, the ball exercise habit group has a lower trend in BFR, the GC group and The body fat rate of the aerobic exercise habits group in the CC group has a lower trend, and the male has the same significant status. The results of this study can provide a reference for the subsequent study of the causal rela-tionship of the gene mutation status to BMI and BFR.
