監獄在刑事司法體系中是扮演相當重要角色，監獄有矯治、隔離、應報、嚇阻、重整、修復的功能。國內監獄一直面臨監獄超額收容與戒護管理人員人力不足的問題，近幾年監獄逐漸走向科技化發展，使用許多科技設備導入監獄管理，本研究探討監獄戒護管理人員特殊的工作特性內容及工作壓力來源，並研究監獄戒護管理人員使用科技設備是否減輕工作壓力的程度。
相關文獻探討受刑人在監處遇理論、戒護管理人員工作內容、壓力、國內監所使用科技設備現況。本研究以壓力認知評估因應理論為研究基礎，利用半結構式訪談12位在職監獄戒護管理人員得到以下命題：一、戒護管理工作壓力源層面廣。二、工作壓力會因戒護管理人員年資與經驗而有所不同。三、運用生理數據監視器輔助可以減輕戒護管理人員當下工作壓力。四、資淺戒護管理人員認為處理受刑人病痛過程壓力大，生理數據監視器只是減輕當下部分工作壓力。

Prisons play a very important role in the criminal justice system. Prisons have the functions of correction, isolation, reporting, deterrence, reorganization, and restoration. Domestic prisons have always been faced with the problem of overcapacity and lack of manpower for prison management personnel. In recent years, prisons have gradually moved toward scientific and technological development, using many scientific and technological equipment to introduce prison management. This study explores the special work characteristics and work of prison guard management personnel Sources of stress, and study whether prison guarding managers use technological equipment to reduce the degree of work pressure.

Relevant literature discusses the theory of the prisoner's treatment in prison, the content of the work of the guards, the pressure, and the status of the use of scientific equipment in domestic prisons. This research is based on the stress cognition assessment response theory and uses semi-structured interviews with 12 serving prison guards management personnel to obtain the following propositions: 1. The stress management work has a wide range of stress sources. Second, the work pressure will vary according to the seniority and experience of the protection management personnel. Third, the use of physiological data monitors can help relieve the current work pressure of guarding and management personnel. 4. The senior management personnel believe that the stress of dealing with the prisoner's illness is high, and the physiological data monitor only relieves the current part of the work pressure.
