The aim goal of this project is to understand how fake news work and which is the main purpose for spreading them, thus know if society is aware of this topic and how do they think it affects to their real life.
This study has been designed thanks to an extensive review of literature, a quantitative analysis made through a survey to 60 people and a qualitative analysis made with the interview to PhD. Francesc Viadel.
Once the study was completed we can affirm that society is aware of fake news and they are worried about them, because it changes their opinion in some topics. However, what is need at this moment is a better education and introducing to people the tools they need in order to identify the false information that everyone can find on social media.
