癌症患者在罹病與治療過程中,因疾病本身或治療引發的副作用,常伴有噁心嘔吐、外觀改變、疼痛及疲倦等劇烈的生理症狀。研究指出,園藝治療可以增進參與者的福祉。因此本研究主要探討園藝治療對於乳癌倖存者身心福祉之效益。研究以治療結束期之三位女性乳癌倖存者為對象,設計六週園藝治療活動,量化研究以「園藝治療福祉效益量表」及「精神福祉量表」做為研究工具,於園藝治療活動前後進行前測與後測,以變異數分析(ANOVA)及成對樣本t 檢定(Pair-T test)進行前後測比較與多重分析,比較分析顯示園藝福祉在「心情放鬆」、「成就感」、「園藝技術」項目皆為「顯著差異」,精神福祉總體效益為「極顯著差異」,全項目皆有提升,尤以「我對未來感到樂觀」、「我覺得自已是有用的」項目進步最多。質性研究於六週課程結束當週進行半結構式團體訪談,發現園藝課程讓學員能「從植物逆勢成長找到生命力量」、「從栽種植物療癒情緒進而懂得對自已和家人寬容」、「團體園藝治療有助與人互動敞開心胸」等效益。本研究結果,期能提供園藝治療師對於乳癌倖存者園藝治療活動設計之參考,亦提供乳癌倖存者輔助治療方式選擇之參考。
This study explores the benefits of horticultural therapy on physical and mental well-being of breast cancer survivors. The study targeted three female breast cancer survivors in their late period of treatment, and designed a six-week horticultural treatment activity. The quantitative study used the "horticultural well-being benefit scale" and " The Efficacy Of Horticultural Therapy Evaluation Form" as research tools. The pre-test and post-test, and ANOVA and Pair-T test (no parental analysis) were used to test and compare the research objects. The comparative analysis showed that horticultural well-being has obvious benefits in the projects of "relaxation", "sense of achievement", and "horticultural technology" , The overall benefits of spiritual well-being are extremely significant differences, and the project "I feel optimistic about the future" and "I think I am useful" has made the most progress. The qualitative research conducted group semi-structured interviews during the week of the six-week course. It was found that the horticulture course allowed students to "find life from the growth of plants", "heal emotions from planting and understand tolerance for themselves and their families", "Group horticultural therapy helps to interact with others to open their hearts" and other benefits. The results of this study can provide a reference for horticultural therapists for the design of horticultural treatment activities for breast cancer survivors, and also provide a reference for the choice of auxiliary treatment methods for breast cancer survivors.
