The purpose of this study is to explore whether different forms of posts describing fitness on social media Instagram can affect the intention of viewers to exercise. A three-factor experiment design of 2×2×2 was adopted, which mainly controlled the number of posts figures, community feedback and presentation mode. A total of 1259 samples were randomly assigned to eight experimental groups by convenient sampling.
The statistical analysis shows that the number of posts, community feedback and presentation mode have a significant interactive effect. The number of posts figures and the community feedback have a certain conflict. And the direct influence of body data on the fitness intention of post readers is limited, but can be mediated by influencing the body image.
