毫米波和陣列天線的技術早在30年前就有人在做研究,當時主要被應用在軍事用途,例如高性能雷達天線的測試、陣列雷達天線的目標搜索、目標追踪性能、飛機反射特性測試等等。這些測試都必須在遠場的測試條件,CATR是主要的量測系統,若使用傳統的Direct far-field系統測量,待測天線和量測天線的距離必須很遠,通常只能在室外進行,此時外界的環境變數、天侯狀態是無法控制的。與近場掃描方式相比,他能節省很多的掃描時間。也因此,在當時就有人做CATR的研究應用,用於高頻陣列天線的量測、目標搜索及最終性能的評估、大尺寸雷達散射截面積RCS測試、飛彈導航及遙控、衛星通訊性能測試等等,幾乎都是軍事的應用。直到近年來因為第五代行動通訊發展,對於毫米波商用的需求逐漸熱絡,開始有毫米波的量測需求,CATR即將要被廣泛應用在民間。
CATR的主要性能指標為其靜區的振幅的漣波(Ripple)及衰減(Taper)、相位的漣波(Ripple)及衰減(Taper),還有交叉極化特性。這些性能差異幾乎取決於反射面的設計和饋源天線的性能規格,兩者需互相搭配才能得到最佳的測試環境。我的研究將著重在改善市面上現有的CATR的量測環境,滿足商用的5GNR FR2頻帶OTA測試需求,這將會包含反射面優化及實現、以及饋源天線的設計及實現,解決CATR最重要的關鍵設計。
The technology of millimeter wave and antenna antennas has been researched as early as thirty years ago. At that time, it was mainly used in military applications, such as the test of high-performance radar antennas, target search of fence antennas, target tracking performance, aircraft reflection characteristics test, etc.. These tests be performed in the far-field test range. Since the test range of the antenna measured by using Direct far-field system must be far enough at outdoor range, the use of CATR can be applied to reduce the range of test significantly and can be implemented in the indoor chamber. Meanwhile, comparing with Near-Field canner, one can conduct the field test in more time-effective manner. Thus the field test using CATR is on demand for millimeter-wave measurement. This study aims on applying for performance evaluation, large-scale radar scattering intercept RCS test, missile navigation and remote control, satellite communication performance test, etc.,
With development of the 5th generation of mobile communications, the demand on millimeter wave commercialization has gradually increased, and there is a demand for millimeter wave measurement. CATR is about to be widely used in the business sector.
The main performance indexes of CATR are the amplitude ripple, amplitude ripple, phase deviation ripple, phase taper, and cross polarization level. These performance differences are almost caused by the design of the reflective surface and the performance specifications of the feed antenna. It need to cooperate with each other to obtain the best test environment. My research will focus on improving the existing CATR measurement environment of the city's appearance to meet the commercial 5GNR FR2 band OTA test requirements and comply with regulation of 3GPP standard. This will include the optimization and implementation of the reflector, as well as the design and implementation of the feed antenna, to solve the most CATR Important key design.
