Since 1970s, Taiwan's electronic connector industry has been started, now its scale has gradually changed from processing and manufacturing parts for foreign brands to finished product OEM, and to marketing of self-made brands. During this period, it not only expanded the market scale, Taiwan became famous in electronic connectors, but also built the entire industrial chain from the raw material of metal and resin, mold and die manufacturing, computer added engineering, product inspection and testing. After experiencing the prosperity of computer and 3C industry, the factories invested in China are facing the increase of labor cost in China and the rise of Red Supply Chain. In the face of the competition in the Red oceans, Taiwan's electronic connector manufacturers must have a forward-looking product direction and strategy, so that they can maintain a sustainable development space in terms of revenue and profits, products and prospects. In this research we discuss the current situation of Taiwan's connector industry, analyze the strength and weakness of Taiwan's connector industry, the obstacles encountered in the market, further find the direction and strategy by interviews with experts in connector industry and product chain.
