This research uses the vehicle simulation software “PreScan” to build a virtual map based on the data of streets of Taipei. And created some projects on the map to simulate several common driver assistance systems such as ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control), PPS(Pedestrian Protection System), APA(Active Park Assist)and TSR(Traffic Sign Recognition). First of all, this paper introduced PreScan and the sensors which are mounted in the experiments and how to use them. Then take the ACC system as an example to explain the control system in Simulink and its operation method. After that, this research built several designed scenarios for each different project. The experimental results are used to prove that the control algorithm is correct, and how to set the parameters and their influence on the overall experimental results are discussed. And finally, the data received by the sensors in simulations and the results obtained from operation, such as throttle, brake and steering angle are saved for analysis and research in the future. This research also discusses how to adjust the self-developed vehicle model and set physical parameters for it to be imported into PreScan. In the future, the preliminary verification of the control system can be estimated by using PreScan's powerful simulation function and its comprehensive sensor model.
