Without tea sommeliers and tea tasters, the way of tea no longer exists. Tea professionals are the main body of the way of tea and, following their deeper understanding of the practice and aesthetics of tea, the way of tea has been presented in an even more refined way. Therefore, how tea professionals cultivate themselves with the practice and aesthetics of tea is a theme that is wroth to further investigate. The scarcity of studies in the field has motivated the author to conduct relevant research. This study is constructed based on the book “Every Day a Good Day: Fifteen Lessons I Learned about Happiness from Japanese Tea Culture”. Written by the tea scholar Noriko Morishita, this book demonstrates her learning of the way of tea over the last 25 years. With its deep influence that has not been overpassed by any other book, this book has therefore been selected as the basis of this study. This paper has adopted textual analysis method to thoroughly understand the concepts thereof and further provide research insights. The content of the paper is summarized into several directions, including how tea professionals understand and cultivate their practice and aesthetics of tea; the growth of tea professionals after realizing the way of tea; and how tea professionals realize themselves and reach happiness. The conclusions of this paper can be summarized into three points: First, tea professionals shape their aesthetics of tea and then exercise their mind through the practice of tea to reach growth potential and comprehension in order to realize themselves and find their way of tea. Second, continuously learning the way of tea without giving up and th seeking for spiritual cultivation will help tea professionals to upgrade their way of tea to another level. Third, the essence of spiritual cultivation through the practice of tea can also be applied to life and turn every day into a good day. It is hoped that this study will make contributions to tea learners in terms of cultivating their practice and aesthetics.
