In recent years, Taiwan’s success in the women’s movement is obvious. It can be seen from all aspects of women’s political participation, economic participation, medical and health care, and educational opportunities. However, there are still many employment discrimination cases in Taiwan over the years, as well as recent reports of celebrities’ gaffes against women, I began to think about what causes the lack of awareness of gender equality? Is feminism in Taiwan popular or not? Would Taiwanese women suffer difficulties in the workplace? And so on. I believes that the restrictions and difficulties faced by Chinese women in the workplace are obviously worth exploring. This study uses two research methods: literature analysis and in-depth interviews, and also use three aspects to analyzes:gender stereotypes, glass ceilings, gender discrimination.Focus on the only agricultural county Tainan that has no female administrative head but has now been upgraded to a municipality. To interview in the administrative field of the region conduct in-depth interviews, and then analyze the interview data in three aspects after the interview. The study found that because major tasks are usually assigned to men, it is easier for men to obtain performance in terms of work performance and easier to obtain promotion qualifications; women are easily affected by family factors and cannot be promoted smoothly. Both pregnancy and marriage are women’s presure. One of the family factors is that women have the pressure of childbirth and parenting. Pregnancy stems from the unique physiological factors of women. Marriage and childbirth are family responsibilities given to women by traditional values, so women have a glass ceiling.
