Abstract
This article aims to describe the evolvement of "A Foreign Bride’s child" to "A New Taiwanese Child." It represents the author's mother was treated inferiorly after she had left her family and choose to live in Taiwan rest of her life. Which unexpected is that she married a man who was nondependent. The boy, which she married and have children with, was not independent as she expected him would be. The boy, the author’s father, is the only heir in the family, however he was also adopted. The period of living in foster parents, the boy was treated by love and hatred in his childhood, and blocked him from growing up unsmoothly.
By the fact that the author grew up in such background, and lack of samples to get along with others during the phase of interaction learning, The author learnt by the dialogues in animations, and also simulate others’ social skills instead, but those methods didn’t really work on the author. By a chance through the progress of his university graduation project, as his guidance for self-searching, and made use of the " Individualization Process " in order to take himself viewing the past of what made him, and how he was pulled by multiple identities. The lack of the recognition of self-being and attracted by those unique individuals from others. He falls eventually, without soul.
Therefore, through the way of narrate life, the author writes the story of his father, mother and himself, the concept of description method the author uses is practical and down-to-earth, which the author himself have never seen it that way before. " Witness the fact, and choose to face it.", find the roots that have been long planted in Taiwan, and continue to establish this foundation, from "A Foreign Bride’s child" to "A New Taiwanese Child."
