緒論：追求公平的競賽是一個重要的價值體現。偷取暗號的行為一直存在於棒球運動的比賽當中，亦是具備爭議的議題之一。而暗號偷取方式的不同，將影響著教練及選手的看法及對於比賽的公平性。目的：一、探討棒球場上暗號的形成及對偷暗號的行為是否認同。二、探討棒球場上暗號執行過程中，遭逢對手破解或偷取暗號時，會有哪些因應的防範機制與反制措施。三、球場上偷暗號的行為及方式，對比賽公平性與各級棒球運動發展的影響。方法：以半結構式訪談進行，採立意取樣，以國內具職業棒球資歷之教練及球員為主，並選擇具有投手、捕手及教練經歷者，共6位作為訪談對象。訪談後將內容謄寫成逐字稿，並將蒐集到的資料及相關文獻整合分析，最後提出研究結論與建議。結論：一、建立球隊自我保護暗號的概念，養成適時調整暗號防範機制及採取反制措施等觀念。二、對於暗號偷取的方式加以規範，避免外力介入成為影響比賽公平性的因素。三、棒球比賽應回歸最原始的投、打對決，偷暗號的行為便破壞了投手與打者之間所預期的競爭，進而可能影響比賽最終結果。建議：建議教練及選手於暗號防範及反制措施觀念上的提升，並鼓勵選手專注於投、打對決及公平競技的表現。未來研究可針對偷取暗號對打擊效益是否有實質的提升，來探討偷暗號在棒球比賽裡是否有存在的必要，亦可免去攻防之間對峙的時間，加速比賽進行的時間。

Introduction：Playing fair is an important reflection of values. Sign-stealing has always existed in baseball games and has been one of the controversial topics of discussion. The different methods of sign-stealing has an obvious impact on the views of the coaches and the players, as well as the equitableness of the game.
Purpose：1. Discuss the formation of signs on the baseball field and the acknowledgement and approval of sign-stealing. 2. Discuss the implementation process of signs on the baseball field, as well as the responding defense mechanism and the counterattack measures when signs are decoded by the opponents.3. The effects the sign-stealing behavior and methods have on game equitableness and the development of baseball at various levels.
Method：Semistructured interviews were conducted on 6 interviewees within the country with professional experience as pitchers, catchers, and coaches and purpose sampling was used. The interview conversations were transcribed and the data collected was integrated and analyzed with related literature before the research conclusion and suggestions were brought forward.
Conclusions： 1. Build a team concept of sign protection which includes a defense mechanism of appropriately adjusting the signs and counterstrike measures.2. Establish a regulation for sign-stealing to avoid the intervention of external factors having an impact on the equitableness of games. 3. Baseball games should return to the original state of the stand off between the pitcher and the batter. The act of sign-stealing spoils the expected competition between the two, which could also lead to a change in the final result of the game.
Suggestions： The suggestions are to elevate the concept of sign protection and counterstrike measures of coaches and players, as well as encouraging players to focus on the stand off between pitching and batting and fair play. Future studies could focus on the effectiveness of sign-stealing on desired batting results to discuss the necessity of sign-stealing in baseball games. This could potentially avoid the confrontation period between the attack and defense, therefore further reduces game time.
