Homestay entrepreneurship projects in Da Lat, a famous tourist highland city in the Central Highlands of Vietnam, are becoming increasingly interested in young entrepreneurs. However, there are many young entrepreneurs who have failed with their own homestay project in Da Lat. They have followed trends and interests instead of focusing on the factors that affect the success of the start-up homestay project in Dalat. In this research paper, the researcher will focus on analyzing potential factors that affect the success of the start-up homestay project in Da Lat, Vietnam. Hence, helping young entrepreneurs improve their knowledge, experience and choose the right direction for their own homestay entrepreneurship project in future. This paper is divided into five chapters: (1) Introduction; (2) Literature Review; (3) Methodology; (4) Research findings; (5) Conclusions and Discussions. A model of the factors affecting the homestay startup project in Dalat is established based on: Human resource, Environment of doing homestay startup project; Characteristics of homestay projects and additional elements such as financial planning and digital marketing. After the research process, the factors belonging to the individual leaders, their network, and the characteristic elements of Da Lat, etc. are proven to be the factors that greatly affect the success of the start-up homestay project in Da Lat. Based on these factors, leaders will have a better direction to cultivate themselves, building a suitable development strategy for their homestay entrepreneurship projects.
