The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Pho-Phi-Kat and Well-Being, and Regulatory Focus Motivation of the moderating effect on the relationship between Pho-Phi-Kat and Well-Being. Participants were asked to complete the PhoPhiKat-TC, Chinese Happiness Inventory and the General Regulatory Focus Measure in order by internet survey. In terms of statistical analysis, a sample of 277 valid university students was used for analysis. The results of this study shows that the gelotophobia is negative correlation with Well-Being, gelotophilia is positive correlation with Well-Being and no correlation with katagelasticism. In the moderation effects of Regulatory Focus Motivation, except for the higher tendency of prevention motivation gelotophilia which has a significant correlated with Well-Being, the others have no significant correlated between the Pho-Phi-Kat and the Well-Being in Regulatory Focus Motivation. In conclusion, this study provides reference of practical application and research in future.
