摘要
目的:旨在探討不同學齡(國中、高中、大學)網球選手在反應時間、敏捷性及影響因素。方法:本研究屬觀察性研究。以FITLIGHT Trainer System測量,受試者144人之慣用手的手眼反應時間(HRT)、慣用腳的腳眼反應時間(FRT)與敏捷性。採雙因子變異數分析或共變數分析,先放入學齡,分別探討性別、不同等級、身高、體重、BMI、運動時間和敏捷性之關係。採線性複迴歸的向前法挑出敏捷性的重要影響因子。結果:(一)在反應時間,高中組的HRT優於大學優於國中,達顯著差異; FRT三個學齡組不顯著。男女及不同等級的反應時間均不顯著。(二)在敏捷性,高中組16.97秒<國中組17.44秒<大學組18.52秒(p=0.0001)。性別與學齡的交互作用不顯著;性別及學齡的主效應均顯著(p<0.0001)。等級與學齡有顯著交互作用(p=0.0057);大學優秀組的敏捷性優於大學一般組。將等級與學齡合併成一新變項(學齡等級),執行向前線性複迴歸,只有學齡等級和性別為敏捷性的重要影響因子,解釋能力為41.1%。已考慮性別後,高中組比大學優秀組的敏捷性快0.71秒(p=0.0353);大學一般組比大學優秀組的敏捷性慢2.15秒 (p<0.001)。已考慮學齡等級後,女生比男生的敏捷性慢1.50秒(p<0.001)。(三)手眼反應時間、腳眼反應時間與敏捷性之相關性不顯著。結論:敏捷性有其網球專項特殊性,較適合用來評估網球選手的能力。

Abstract
Objective: We aimed to examine the performance and factors of response time (RT) and agility among tennis players from different educated groups (junior, senior high school and university), as well as the relationship of RT and agility. Methods: A total of 144 participants were recruited. This is an observational study, measuring the dominant’s hand-eye response time (HRT), foot-eye response time (FRT), and agility using the FITLIGHT Trainer System. We used 2-factor ANOVA or ANCOVA to include the educated group in the statistical model, then add sex, expertise level (novice vs. elite players), height, weight, BMI and total exercise hours in a week, separately to examine their effect to agility. Multiple Linear Regression with forward selection was made to select the important factors of agility. Results: (1) For RT, senior high school group was significantly better than junior high school and university groups in HRT of the dominant hand. FRT of the dominant leg did not showed significant difference among the three educated group. No significance in HRT and FRT was found between the sex groups and between the two expertise level. (2) For agility, significant difference was seen between the 3 educated groups. Senior high school 16.98s < junior high school 17.44s < university 18.52s (p=0.0001). 2-factor ANOVA showed no significant difference for sex*educated interaction (p=0.3327). Main effect of sex and educated group reached statistical significance (p<0.0001 for both). There is significance between expertise level*educated group interaction (p=0.0057). Multiple comparison then showed the elite players’ agility did not differ from non-elite group among junior high group and among senior high group. However, elite players had better agility than non-elite player in university. Because the expertise level and educated groups showed significant interaction, we combined these two factors into a new variable (educated-expertise group). The new variable was further analyzed using multiple linear regression with forward selection. Result showed only educated-expertise group and sex were important factors to agility. After adjusted with sex, junior high school players were 0.12s slower in agility than elite players in university, although not significant (p=0.7372). Senior high school players were 0.71s significantly faster in agility than elite players in university (p=0.0353). Non-elite players in university were 2.15s significantly slower in agility than elite players in university (p<0.001). After adjusted with educated-expertise group, female players were 1.50s slower in agility than male players (p<0.001). Educated-expertise group has 27.3% predictive power on agility, and increased to 41.1% when educated -expertise group combined with sex. (3) Significant correlation was not seen either between HRT and agility, or between FRT and agility. Conclusion: agility test is tennis-specific and is suitable to assess the ability of tennis players.
