ABSTRACT
The primary goal of this paper is to determine householders' residential satisfaction and Ger area habitats with their dwelling. Ulaanbaatar is the most densely populated area in Mongolia. About half of the population lives in the city. Most of the reasons are the lack of electricity and schools in rural areas. There is no infrastructure. Usually, rural people live a nomadic way of life. Ulaanbaatar has a number of disadvantages due to overcrowding. The purpose of space syntax analysis is to bring the focus from one point to other empty points with the right planning in case. Otherwise, if you look at Figures 46 and 47, the orange and red (more bright) areas can be interpreted as high-density measurements. This color fades to a more bluish color, showing areas with less density. A deep blue color is an indication of very low-resolution areas. In other words, in relation to my research, it means that can see the possibility of relocating high-density areas to low-density areas. Hence, the idea of this section is to show how space syntax theory can be used to understand city movement and density.
The aim is also to review the realities of my country’s density and its contextual planning. Also wanted to show the wrong planning, distortions, and current situation of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city. In particular, the biggest problem in Ulaanbaatar is the Ger district. This is the main topic of my thesis.
In general, it is mentioned to create an image for someone who does not know what a Ger district is and their problem, Ger district re-development. And the Ger area is a vast subject. History and culture are inextricably linked, and you can see what issues they create today (modern). Here are a few key issues mentioned, because if these issues are resolved, other issues may disappear.
This master's thesis will outline the basics of space syntax. So that, hopefully, other urban planners can incorporate the method into their line of work. This section describes the density, traffic, and movements of Ulaanbaatar city.
