The purpose of this study is to understand the current awareness of Kaohsiung residents' awareness of fire prevention and survival after participating in the fire prevention propaganda, and to explore the differences in people's cognition, attitudes and behaviors of fire prevention and survival among different background variables. In view of the frequent occurrence of fire cases, the fire department actively handles many kinds of publicity activities and household visits, and continuously promotes the importance of fire safety to the public; Door-to-door advocacy and care are also given very affirmatively. Through fire protection propaganda, the public has a good attitude towards fire safety, which in turn arouses the public's attention to fire safety, and strives for the safety of their own lives and properties, hoping to jointly build a port city with zero casualties and disasters. This study took Kaohsiung citizens as the research object, carried out a questionnaire survey, and used statistical methods such as mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance to test various research hypotheses and answer research questions. The results show that: the public's "cognition" factors of fire protection survival in fire protection propaganda, gender, seniority, income, job attributes and fire protection knowledge acquisition methods have achieved significant differences; while in fire protection propaganda "attitude" factors , gender, seniority, job attributes and fire protection knowledge acquisition methods have reached significant differences; in addition, among the fire protection survival "behavior" factors in fire protection propaganda, seniority, work attributes and fire protection knowledge acquisition methods also have a significant impact on the public.
