Abstract
Medical tourism is helpful for tourism as a whole. However, few tourists come to Taiwan to participate in such medical tourism activities. Based on the existing literature, this study organizes the indicators to evaluate medical tourism or influence participation in such tourism. influencing factors. In this study, we further explore these factors and evaluate the architecture of medical tourism to extend further research directions. This study was pre-tested on what they believed to be the most influential factors of medical tourism, with feedback from six medical scholars and experts. We then conducted formal questionnaires and interviews with other experts and applied decision-making experiments and evaluation laboratory methods to determine what the experts considered influential factors. Factors that score above a certain key figure are classified as influencing factors, and the rest are outcome factors. This study identifies two influencing factors: regulations and national image. Under the compilation of relevant literature and promotion of medical tourism, the influencing factors are further analyzed. The structure and results of this paper can provide beneficial management implications for medical tourism-related practitioners, giving priority to two factors: regulations and national image, to propose a reference to promote medical tourism strategies; future research is needed to do further research to increase the generalizability of the findings of this paper and try to identify other influencing factors.
