Abstract Because of limited land, concentrated population and immature of explosion techniques, we demolished buildings mainly by labor and machine works in Taiwan. The methods to make demolition more efficient and reduce damage are the parts require evaluation and concern during the project. In addition, relevant parties must obey building regulation, including demolition license application before perform demolition and demolition duration no longer than six months in order not to violate the law. Nowadays, there are more ways to monitor quality of projects; for example, we can use ANSYS or Gantt Chart to analyze the potential risk under building destruction so that we are able to prepare for emergencies beforehand. Besides, there are multiple ways to reuse bricks and concrete blocks; for instance, making concrete blocks into a new water storage system can both storage water and reduce waste. Concrete blocks can also be used as building materials waste, and after testing, they can be used for more diversified utilization and construction such as building materials for paving. Since labor and machines are currently used in Taiwan, the machines used for demolition must be prioritized for different types of buildings, terrain, and traffic, so that the project can be carried out smoothly. This research will introduce various types of equipment and discuss four cases. How to avoid bothering neighborhood, dust and reduce damage to nearby buildings as well as demolition strategies, how to make buildings collapse safely and quickly without harming the surrounding environment, will be the scope of this article.
