With the development of the Internet, parent-teacher communication becomes more diverse. The parent-teacher communication is no longer limited to specific tools, teachers can communicate with parents through LINE, FB Messenger, Instagram, etc. The researcher chose LINE as a tool for parent-teacher communication as the research topic, because LINE is very convenient, and it is not limited by space and time. There are also many functions for teachers and parents to use. This research uses questionnaire survey method and interview survey method to collect data. The subject of the questionnaire survey is the homeroom teachers at the elementary school in Kinmen County. A total of 205 questionnaires were provided, and a total of 192 valid questionnaires were returned. The effective questionnaire recovery rate was 93.7%, and use SPSS17 software to organize and analyze. The interviewee are four homeroom teachers at the elementary school in Kinmen County. Using semi-structured interviews to understand of whether homeroom teachers use LINE to communicate with parents. The results of this study are as follows: (1)Most elementary school homeroom teachers in Kinmen County use LINE to communicate with parents. (2)Teachers at the elementary school in Kinmen County feel that learning the LINE APP operation method is simple. (3)Teachers at the elementary school in Kinmen County believe that using LINE can assist in the communication between parents and teachers. (4)Female teachers use LINE to communicate with their parents more than male teachers. (5)Teachers aged 31-40 years old who use LINE to communicate with their parents is higher than over 51-year-old teachers. (6)School size below 12 classes’ teachers who use LINE to communicate with their parents is higher than school size over 13 classes’. (7)Homeroom teachers who teach in the lower grades are more willing to use LINE as a parent-teacher communication than in the upper and middle grades. (8)Homeroom teachers who do not use LINE to communicate with their parents are afraid of misunderstandings between them. (9)In addition to LINE, elementary school homeroom teachers also use other media for parent-teacher communication. Based on the above.
