The purpose of this study is to investigate the philosophy and practice of the learner-centered education.A case study approach was adopted to explore the implementation of the learner-centered education in an experimental school; Thirteen staffs participated the semi-structured interview and the participated observation was also adopted for data collection. The results of analysis were followed:The philosophy of the case included "valuing the person", "construction of self", "valuing diversity", the practice of course development included "valuing life experience", "valuing intrinsic motivation", "valuing individualized evaluation", and "dynamic adjustment of curriculum "; the practice of teaching included "valuing individual differences", "valuing group dynamics", and "helping students to be autonomous"; and the role of teacher included "valuing the personality influencer of teacher", "valuing collaboration among teachers", and "valuing teachers reflection".
