本論文探討我國青年族群投入非典型勞動市場或典型勞動市場時,期初的就業狀態對目前成為典型勞工機會之影響。透過使用 2018 年至 2020 年 15-29 歲青年勞工就業狀況調查與一般最小平方估計法,本文得出初職為非典型勞工對目前成為典型勞工的機率有負面影響,即非典型工作是勞動市場的陷阱。考量樣本停留在同一份工作,可能使結果有偏誤,本研究亦討論更換雇主的影響,以及進一步探討學用不符對成為典型勞工的影響。
This article analyzes how the employment contract of the first job affects the opportunity of landing standard employment in subsequent jobs among young adults in Taiwan. The study drew data from the 2018 to 2020 Survey on the Employment Situation of Young Labor (15-29). Workers' transitions are estimated using the ordinary least squares (OLS) method. The findings show that being a nonstandard worker at the first job hurts the probability of being a typical worker in subsequent employment. To account for possible biases resulting from workers staying in the same position, the analysis also looks at the impact of changing employers by restricting the sample to those who changed jobs. Moreover, the study explores the effect of skill mismatch on the likelihood of becoming a standard worker.
