In my past exhibition forums, there are some common features in my creations especially mentioned by different keynote speakers: the opening of heterogeneous spaces, the provision of different experience platforms, and the obstruction of audiences’ inertial thinking. Therefore, I started to think and organize my creations and exhibitions made after 2016, expecting to discover features or commonalities from my past works. Most of the contents of my creation are formed in personal experiences and events in life. Not centering around a specific axis and context, the contents may seem discontinuous, yet common features—especially in terms of creations’ formation, method and space processing—can still be proposed. For instance, “memory text” is the thoughts, experiences, memories, and records I had and used in my creations. “Memory text” comes from my personal experience and appears in the forms of texts, objects, images, concepts, etc. “Perceptual situation” is the bridge between audiences and artwork; it guides audiences to the perceptions of artwork on-site. Another feature is “syun kuan.” I often focus on the “between-ness” in the process of objects, concepts, and spaces. Therefore, “syun kuan” is the concept of creation generated after organizing and analyzing my past creations and refers to the feature and the state of “between-ness.” This master’s dissertation is based on my past creations. I organize, discuss, analyze my works and creative ideas, and focus on clarifying related vocabularies and concepts. The inspection of above-mentioned concepts and creative ideas is also supplemented by related artists’ works. I hope this research dissertation can bring me a clearer view of my past creations and future possibilities.
