The main purpose of this technical report is to explore the difference between tactical strength and conditioning and regular physical fitness training of firefighters and provides advice on physical training for firefighters. Firefighters are often faced with a variety of emergencies, like rescue from a disaster scene or emergency medical services, each scene is unique, and that tests the ability of firefighters to respond to emergencies, also because firefighters must use various of equipment and execute many kinds of disaster relief tactics, so firefighters must keep exercise to cope with every scene of emergency. Be that as it may, nowadays most of firefighters choose traditional ways to train themselves due to fit for annual examines. Progress with times, there are more and more new types of physical training supported by scientific theories that can be considered, worth discussing with firefighters. This report introduces the modern scientific theory of muscle strength training and training methods, compares to traditional physical training ways. Finally, this report provides some suggestions for the central and local authorities and individuals, hope firefighters can be safer and more effective when on duty.
