Abstract
The way we live our lives is more like an actor performing dramas on a stage, which is literally comparable to our living spaces. Time flow accompanies so unwittingly with our footsteps, so crystal clear and authentic while there’s always light to shine upon. The magnificent existence of light makes me ponder on life with deep awe, for its unique and unformable form. It lightens me whether with its visible appearance, or with reflections which gives me inspirations. Light could be warm and glowing, but also dark and glooming sometimes; its temperature is just an ephemeral fever, yet becomes the longest gaze into the eternity at the same time.
“Light” could bring me courage as well. Life is never an even road, but a road with ups and downs, pleasures and bitters. Going through all the process of heartbreak, disappointment, grieve, rage, scare, I have somehow managed to keep stepping forward with a beam of “light”, that brings me warmth and confidence.
I have ordered my thoughts into below stages-- “Awareness and confess”, “Comfort and console”, and “Cherish moments”, which realized after I attempted to relate light with my personal logic during creation; and this is how my faith and strength has therefore formed independently.
Chapter one is about the motivation and goal of my creation, which is to elaborate the way lights existing in my life and my mental projection of light. The inspiration comes from my life experience, which includes childhood memory, the impact of previous working experience, my metal projection of my family, the encounter feeling to reality, and long for expression to negative emotions. Chapter two, to explore the existence about the Art of Light, and separately introduce its material existence and mental existence. In Chapter three, I view “Light” as the core, and personal “Memory” as a commencement, to analyze the spiritual manifestation of light appearance and performance. This chapter describes how to express, converts and eventually transforms light into artwork, and to analyze the constitution of artwork,
including composition, color, brushstrokes and texture. Chapter four is to separate the spiritual manifestation of light into the warmth from memory and self-healing process, it describes the bonding between light and the warmth from my memory, the process of how art is shaped visually, mentally, then eventually embodied concretely and as a picture, which is also the course of self-healing process. Finally, Chapter five, the inspiration to my next creation, conclusions and references will be included.
