目前食品原物料進貨入庫或生產投料時的多以人工目視判別有效日期及產品序號是否正確或者是否在安全的效期之內,以人工目視判別的結果容易產生人為錯誤判的情況,也少了一項資料日後佐證的依據,在中華民國「食品安全衛生管理法」第四章第15條即規定逾有效日期不得製造、加工、調配等,所以希望利用現有科學驗證的方式來達有效日期自動判別的機制。
  本論文的研究目的在使用光學檢測(Automated Optical Inspection,簡稱AOI)與字元識別(Optical Character Recognition,簡稱OCR)的原理開發一套可以Android手機(Mobile Phone)或手持式行動裝置(Mobile Handheld Device) 執行的應用程式(Application,簡稱APP), 可以用於判別食品原物料包裝上的「有效日期」及「產品序號」,除了檢測日期是否在有效期限內,並記錄檢測人員、檢測日期以及外觀照片,以做為日後抽檢或進行ISO或HACCP檢驗時的佐證資料。

At present, when the food raw materials are received into the warehouse or the production and feeding, the manual visual inspection is used to determine whether the validity date and product serial number are correct or within the safe validity period. The basis for a data to be corroborated in the future is in Article 15 of Chapter 4 of the "Food Safety and Hygiene Management Law" of the Republic of China, which stipulates that no manufacturing, processing, deployment, etc. shall be allowed after the expiry date discriminating mechanism.
The research purpose of this paper is to develop a set of Android mobile phones (Mobile Phone) or handheld mobile devices (Mobile handheld device) using the principles of Optical Inspection (Automated Optical Inspection, AOI) and Character Recognition (Optical Character Recognition, OCR). The executed application (Application, APP for short) can be used to identify the "Expiration Date" and "Product Serial Number" on the packaging of food raw materials, in addition to whether the test date is within the expiry date, and records the test personnel, test date and appearance photos , as evidence for future random inspections or ISO and HACCP inspections.
