本研究旨在探討半導體晶圓代工廠在研發設計製作產品的過程中所遇到的製程技術問題及其材料供應商如何配合半導體晶圓代工廠，進而探索是否跟隨半導體廠設立國外分廠。分析跟隨半導體晶圓代工廠設立國外分廠背後的考量及未來的要求與期望，再進一步探索半導體晶圓代工廠未來的發展方向與趨勢。此研究結果顯示跟隨半導體晶圓代工廠設立國外分廠能更有效的掌握晶圓代工廠的規格需求、提高因距離的溝通效率、大幅縮短樣品寄送時間及成本、降低成品海外運送成本及運輸風險並降低潛在競爭者進入產業的威脅。另外，這些高科技產品環環相扣，伴隨著時代走進尖端越高科技越需要我們材料供應商一起加快速度提升規格品質的需求。

This study will look into the process technology issues that semiconductor foundries face throughout the R&D, design, and manufacture of products, as well as how their material suppliers collaborate with them, and whether or not to follow semiconductor factories in establishing foreign branches. Analyze and follow the factors that led to the construction of foreign semiconductor wafer foundries, as well as future requirements and expectations, and then investigate the semiconductor wafer foundries' future development path and trends.
The results of this study show that by establishing a foreign branch of a semiconductor wafer foundry, it is possible to better understand the foundry's specifications, improve communication efficiency due to distance, drastically reduce sample delivery time and cost, and lower the cost of overseas delivery of finished products. Reduce transportation hazards and the prospect of new competitors entering the industry. Furthermore, these high-tech products are interconnected. As the world becomes more sophisticated, and technology advances, we demand more from our material providers in terms of speed and quality.
