隨著全球環保概念的興起,消費者對於環境永續意識增加,開始傾向於選擇綠色產品,以減少對環境帶來的損害,在全球市場變化和永續性需求的情況下,許多行業隨著綠色消費群體的出現,來自客戶的壓力會促使公司重塑他們的業務流程及使用環境管理措施來改善他們的環境績效。航運業是高能源消耗的行業,所產生的汙染物會加重環境負擔,託運人越來越要求更高的環境性能,並制定了監測碳排放的策略,託運人和航運公司已經開始採取綠色運營來滿足客戶的要求。

過去綠色航運實踐和綠色績效一直被廣泛討論,特別著重在航運公司,對需求方(託運人)的研究較少,因此本研究旨在探討航運公司綠色創新、內部綠色航運實踐(GSPs)、企業環境策略和託運人選擇意願之間的關係,蒐集了台灣託運人資料以實證調查分析客戶對航商執行的綠色措施關注因素及會如何影響託運人選擇航商的意願,本文之研究結果可供航運公司改善其環境管理戰略,並幫助他們更有效地提高綠色績效。

With the rise of the global environmental concepts, consumers are becoming more aware of environmental sustainability and beginning to prefer green products to reduce the damage to the environment. In the case of global market changes and sustainability needs, pressure from customers will prompt companies to reshape their business processes and use environmental management measures to improve their environmental performance. The shipping industry is a high energy-consuming industry, and the pollutants will increase the environmental burden. Shippers increasingly ask for higher environmental performance and have developed strategies to monitor their carbon emission. Shippers and Many shipping firms have started to green their operation and content their customer’s requirements simultaneously.

While the green shipping practice and green performance has been widely discussed over the years, especially in shipping companies’ aspect. An investigation of demand side (shippers) of green management practices and green strategy is lacking. This paper fills this gap to identify the relationships between internal green shipping practices (GSPs), green innovation in the shipping company, company environmental strategies and the influence elements to shippers. We collect data from shippers in Taiwan to figure out the factors of green measures that shipping firms adopt and which of them are shippers concerned about and will impact of their choices. The results of this study can contribute to shipping firms’ improve their environmental management strategy and help them to enhance green performance more efficiently.
