隨著臺灣自2019年同性婚姻合法化後，大眾對於戀愛價值觀逐漸改變，相較於傳統的男女，女同性戀者能遇見心儀對象並交往的機會不多，但大多數女同性戀伴侶們和異性戀伴侶們一樣選擇進入了婚姻。然而女同性戀伴侶們在進入婚姻與確認彼此的關係前，「女同性戀者」與「女雙性戀者」對於挑選伴侶時，可能會因為年齡、學業、身高等變項不同而調整擇偶門檻的設定，也可能因為考量自己在同性戀婚姻市場上的長、短處進行調整，對於處在同性戀婚姻市場中位於不利的一方，更容易放寬擇偶門檻。因此，促進探討女同性戀伴侶及異性戀伴侶對於擇偶偏好的門檻。
針對擇偶偏好中常見的年齡、身高、收入、學歷等條件，以「女同性戀者」、「女雙性戀者」與「異性戀者」在擇偶時所進行的選擇偏好為本研究目的旨在瞭解國內年滿18歲之「女同性戀者」、「女雙性戀者」及「異性戀者」，對於擇偶偏好重要性的排序與擇偶偏好之上下門檻的差異情形。「女同+女雙性戀者B」其生理性別為女性，而伴侶偏好對象為女性，預測其與伴侶偏好對象同樣為女性的「男異性戀者」之擇偶偏好會相似，結果得知與「男異性戀者」相比，除了同樣偏好年輕的伴侶之外，其較能接受伴侶的年齡較大。
對於「收入」則是與「女異性戀者」相似，皆偏好伴侶有穩定收入，此與「男異性戀者」相異。對「身高」則是與「男異性戀者」有所不同，因「女同+女雙性戀者B」先天身高普遍比「男異性戀者」矮，因此其比「男異性戀者」能接受伴侶比自己高。

With the legalization of same-sex marriage in Taiwan in 2019, the public's perspective of love has gradually changed. Although lesbians have a smaller population to date from, most lesbian couples choose to enter marriage just like heterosexual couples. However, before lesbian couples enter marriage, "lesbians" and "female bisexuals" may adjust the threshold of spouse selection due to different variables such as age, education, and height. The threshold may also be adjusted by considering one's own strengths and weaknesses in the same-sex marriage market. For the more disadvantaged party, it is more likely for them to relax the threshold for spouse selection. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the differences of mate preference between lesbian and heterosexual couples.
This paper discusses mate preferences among "lesbians", "female bisexuals" and "heterosexuals" who are over 18 years old in Taiwan. Apart from the commonly discussed preferences, such as, age, height, income, education, the importance and upper and lower thresholds of each item was also further examined.
According to our research, "Lesbian + female bisexual person B" has a female biological sex and a female partner preference. We predicted that his mate selection preference will be similar to that of the "heterosexual male" whose partner preference is also female. Our findings revealed both groups prefer younger partners, however, "Lesbian + female bisexual person B" group have higher acceptance to partners who are older. In terms of “income”, similar to "female heterosexuals", they prefer partners with stable income, which is different from "male heterosexuals". As for "height", "lesbian + bisexual B" are more willing to accept partners who are shorter, because they are generally shorter than "heterosexuals".
