青少年生活在網路世代中,而科技的進步讓資訊快速更新並碎片化,使得他們的專注力被分散,分眾化的趨勢也變得更加鮮明。享受著科技與新知的便捷同時,也可能帶來身心上的負擔。台灣在特殊的文化與歷史脈絡下,對於來自中國大陸的社群媒體平台TikTok一直存在諸多擔憂與疑慮。
此研究透過焦點團體訪談18位高中生與深度訪談兩位教育從業人員發現,青少年在使用TikTok等短影音社群平台時,外部的介入會帶來一定程度的影響。青少年會根據功能、操作和人際社群的不同,選擇適合自己的平台。使用TikTok的主因是為了填充空閒時間、觀賞自動推薦的有趣內容,以及滿足社交需求。然而,隨著使用時長的增加,TikTok提供的娛樂內容也可能導致時間扭曲感,甚至成癮問題。
研究結果也發現,台灣青少年同時也使用大陸版抖音,並對該平台表現出較高的好感度。他們認為大陸版抖音的短影音品質與內容更吸引他們,並且有在上面互動交流的慾望。同時,他們也習慣使用中國大陸的流行用語和簡體字,如何在自然的交流同時保護在地語言文化,需要在教育上付出更多的心力。
總結來說,TikTok等短影音社群平台對青少年的影響是複雜且長遠的。這些平台填充了他們的空閒時間、滿足了社交需求,但也可能帶來問題。對於平台內容的喜好也會影響他們的使用習慣,演算法和內容本身在其中扮演關鍵角色。在這樣的背景下,加強資訊保護意識和資訊安全教育,引導青少年合理使用社群平台,並培養資訊整合和批判思考能力是十分重要的。
Teenagers are living in the internet generation, and the advancement of technology has led to rapid and fragmented information updates, causing their attention to be scattered and the trend of polarization to become more pronounced. While they enjoy the convenience of technology and new knowledge, it may also bring about physical and mental burdens. In Taiwan, within a unique cultural and historical context, there have been numerous concerns and doubts regarding the social media platform TikTok, which originates from China.
This study, through focus group interviews with 18 high school students and in-depth interviews with two education professionals, found that external factors have a certain degree of influence on teenagers when using short video social platforms like TikTok. They choose platforms based on different functions, operations, and social communities that suit them best. The main reasons for using TikTok are to fill their leisure time, watch interesting content automatically recommended, and satisfy their social needs. However, with an increase in usage time, TikTok's entertainment content may lead to a distorted sense of time and even addiction issues.
The research also revealed that Taiwanese teenagers also use the mainland Chinese version of TikTok, known as Douyin, and express a higher level of favorability towards this platform. They find the short video quality and content on the mainland Chinese version more appealing and have a desire to interact and communicate on it. At the same time, they have become accustomed to using popular mainland Chinese slang and simplified characters. Efforts are needed in education to find ways to protect and preserve local language and culture while facilitating natural communication.
In conclusion, the impact of short video social platforms like TikTok on teenagers is complex and long-term. These platforms fill their leisure time and meet their social needs but may also bring about issues. Their preferences for platform content also influence their usage habits, with algorithms and content playing crucial roles. In this context, it is essential to enhance awareness of information protection and information security education, guide teenagers in using social platforms rationally, and cultivate their abilities in information integration and critical thinking.
