美國當代作曲家保羅‧蕭恩費德(Paul Schoenfield, 1947-)寫了各種不同風格的作品，其中包括了猶太音樂、美國爵士樂、鄉村風格音樂與民間音樂曲風。
蕭恩費德受小提琴家列夫．波利亞金(Lev Polyakin, 1908-1988)之委託，於1990年譜寫出《給小提琴與鋼琴的四首回憶曲》(Four Souvenirs for Violin and Piano, 1990)，並於同年在克利夫蘭(Cleveland)首演此融合民間音樂、爵士樂和舞曲等多種元素的獨一無二之作品。
本篇書面報告主要以鋼琴合作的角度針對這組作品進行研究與演奏詮釋，將分
為三章探討。第一章彙整作曲家生平，並討論其作曲之風格；第二章探討此作品之背景與作曲之素材；第三章依樂章分為四節，探討每樂章標題的文化意義，進而做樂曲分析與詮釋，深入研究分析曲式結構、拍號節奏、調性、作曲手法與詮釋；第四章以鋼琴合作之角度為整組曲目不同樂章的詮釋表現作結語。

American contemporary composer Paul Schoenfield (1947-) has written several famous works, in the styles of Jewish music, American Jazz, Country, and Folk music.
Four Souvenirs for Violin and Piano was written in 1990 for a new jazz performance in Cleveland. It was commissioned and inspired by violinist Lev Polyakin (1909-1988).
Schoenfield combined various elements like folk music, jazz music and dance music to compose this unique work. This report focuses on the research and performance interpretations of Four Souvenirs from the perspective of a collaborative pianist. It is divided into four chapters. The first chapter summarizes Schoenfield’s life, discusses his compositional style. The second chapter discusses the background of the composition and examines musical inspiration behind each movement. The third chapter is divided into four sections, discussing the cultural significance of each movement title, and provides the indepth studies of the form, rhythm, tonality, composition techniques, harmony, and interpretative elements within each movement. The fourth chapter concludes the interpretation of different movements of the whole set of Four Souvenirs from the perspective of a collaborative pianist.
