The research aims to explore the investment performance of Taiwan stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs), specifically focusing on different types of ETFs, such as Taiwan 50, Fubon Corporate Governance, High Dividend, Taiwan High Dividend Low Volatility, and Cathay Dividend Select 30. The research period is from September 27, 2017 to September 27, 2023. The long-term performance of these ETFs is analyzed, the impact of the market environment is evaluated, and the effects of one-time investment and installment investment strategies are compared. The research results found that among the three ETFs, Taiwan 50, Corporate Governance and Taiwan High Interest and Low Volatility, the annualized return rate of the one-time investment strategy is significantly higher than that of the installment investment strategy; while the high dividend and Dividend Select 30 ETFs may be more Suitable for installment investment strategy. In addition, the risk of a one-time investment strategy is usually higher than that of an installment investment strategy, but according to Sharpe ratio analysis, an installment investment strategy is usually better than a one-time investment strategy, indicating that after risk adjustment, the installment investment strategy can achieve a higher rate of return.
