Background: In December 2019, the novel coronavirus spread to various parts of the world, causing a sustained pandemic and changing people's lives and medical practices. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 an "international public health emergency of concern." Frontline healthcare workers endured the epidemic, and the long-term stress caused depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Resilience is seen as a protective factor for healthcare workers who experience negative effects of occupational stress, closely linked to psychological health, and an important factor influencing well-being.

Purpose: This study aims to explore the relationship between specialty nurses' perception of COVID-19 epidemic stress, resilience, and well-being in the post-pandemic era.

Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used with convenience sampling, and a structured questionnaire was used to investigate the perception of COVID-19 stress, resilience, and well-being via an online survey. The sample size was estimated to be 316 practicing specialty nurses. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis of specialty nurses' perception of COVID-19 epidemic stress and the relationship between resilience and well-being were conducted using Pearson's correlation analysis. Regression analysis was performed to explore the predictive factors affecting specialty nurses' well-being.

Result:Commencing on June 7, 2023, a total of 254 cases were collected. There is a positive correlation between COVID-19 stress, resilience, and happiness. Resilience is identified as a predicting factor for the happiness of specialized nurses, with an explanatory power R2 of 64.3%. Among the facets of resilience, personal strength is validated in this study as the most crucial predictive factor, explaining 55.8% of the variance.
Conclusion:In the clinical context, this study reveals a positive correlation between income and happiness among vocational nurses. It suggests that in the post-pandemic era, healthcare institutions aiming to enhance the well-being of their staff should establish a secure working environment and consider salary increases. Only through such measures can a high-quality environment be provided. On the educational front, it is hoped that healthcare units will continue offering resilience training courses in the post-pandemic era. These courses provide diverse pathways for reconstructing a stress-resistant mindset, contributing to job retention and an increased sense of happiness in nursing work. From a research perspective, the literature mentions that experiencing challenging environments allows the development of resilience, enabling individuals to control and adjust their states. Despite the threats posed by the recent pandemic, resilience can ultimately transform into positive energy, propelling individuals to move forward in the face of adversity.
