以工作或學習為目的的國際旅居者因生活在兩種不同的文化,可能導致其文化適應出現問題,進而影響了生活、學習、工作等面向,為了解其文化適應情形,本研究以朝陽科技大學外籍學生作為研究對象,透過對休閒活動參與、多元文化體驗、文化適應壓力與幸福感之間關係的探討,以瞭解朝陽科技大學外籍學生在臺的文化適應情形。本研究採用滾雪球抽樣法,請朝陽科技大學外籍學生向同校的外籍同學透過Line群組方式發布Google 表單網路問卷,進而應用描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定、單因子變異數分析及多元逐步迴歸分析來探討朝陽科技大學外籍學生的休閒活動參與、多元文化體驗、文化適應壓力與幸福感之研究。研究結果顯示:(一)不同背景變項在休閒活動參與、多元文化體驗、文化適應壓力與幸福感具顯著差異; (二)休閒活動參與正向影響幸福感;(三)休閒活動參正向影響文化適應壓力;(四)多元文化體驗正向影響幸福感;(五)文化適應壓力對幸福感不具影響力;(六)多元文化體驗對文化適應壓力不具影響力。教育單位應積極鼓勵外籍學生以及本國學生參與休閒活動,以助於提升外籍學生的幸福感,並促進他們之間的互動,加強跨文化交流,助於學生更好地適應多元文化環境。
International residents who live in a foreign country for work or study purposes may encounter cultural adaptation issues due to exposure to two different cultures, which can subsequently affect various aspects of their lives, including daily life, learning, and work. To understand their cultural adaptation, this study focuses on foreign students at Chaoyang University of Technology and examines the relationship between their participation in leisure activities, multicultural experiences, cultural adaptation stress, and happiness. The study employed a snowball sampling method, where foreign students at the university were asked to distribute a Google Form online questionnaire to their fellow international students via Line groups. The research utilized descriptive statistics, independent sample t-tests, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and multiple stepwise regression analysis to explore the relationships among leisure activity participation, multicultural experiences, cultural adaptation stress, and happiness among foreign students at Chaoyang University of Technology. The research results indicate that: (1) there are significant differences in leisure activity participation, multicultural experiences, cultural adaptation stress, and happiness among individuals with different backgrounds; (2) participation in leisure activities positively influences happiness; (3) participation in leisure activities positively influences cultural adaptation stress; (4) multicultural experiences positively influence happiness; (5) cultural adaptation stress does not have a significant impact on happiness; and (6) multicultural experiences do not have a significant impact on cultural adaptation stress. The findings suggest that educational institutions should actively encourage both foreign and local students to engage in leisure activities to enhance the happiness of foreign students. Furthermore, promoting interaction and cross-cultural communication among students can help them better adapt to a multicultural environment.
