With the advancement of information technology, Augmented Reality (AR) has now become an effective marketing method for e-commerce platforms. As AR technology integrates the real world with virtual elements, consumers are able to use their mobile phones, tablets, AR smart glasses and other digital devices to experience the AR functions. Retailer companies such as Amazon, Essie, and IKEA have integrated AR functionality into their shopping environments. First of all, this study developed a mobile AR app where users can use AR mode to interact with 3D models of products, as well as to switch backgrounds, to rotate, or to zoom in and out of 3D models by touching the screen with fingers. Secondly, the study proposed a research model which is based on the IS continuance model, with adding three aspects of media characteristics: augmentation quality, perceived control, and perceived informativeness. By collecting 377 records of online questionnaire, the results found that the hypotheses based on the continuous use model after IS acceptance were all supported. Furthermore, considering the AR media characteristics, the results showed that perceived informativeness significantly affected perceived usefulness, whereas augmentation quality and perceived control did not.
