This thesis documented, studied and discussed the production process of A Walk to Remember, mainly analyzing the four dance pieces, A Thousand Snowflakes, The Journey is Calling and I Must Go, For the Lost Souls, and Wander, Wonder, in terms of body expressions, choreography process, and performance challenges. Chapter 1 illustrated the background of the producer, which inspired the concept, motive and aims for this production. Chapter 2 discussed literatures relevant towards the characteristics and background of contemporary dance, alternative theatrical spaces such as environmental theatre, site-specific theatre and immersive theatre, and performance methods that incorporate vocal techniques and the integration of body expressions and environment. Chapter 3 portrayed the structure and execution of the production, including the introduction of choreographers, production team, dancers, and synopsis of the four dance pieces. Chapter 4 analyzed and discussed in detail all four dance pieces, illustrating the performance site, the performance, challenges and the creating process of choreographers and dancers. Chapter 5 discussed the feedback and reviews gathered from the producer’s perspective towards A Walk to Remember, providing further interpretation towards the process of the production, in terms of limitations, overall evaluation towards each dance pieces, as well as recommendations for future productions.
