本論述旨在分析書寫作為表達的基本模式之本質,對於將書寫與易讀性和言語聯繫在一起的傳統限制提出辯證,藉此推演到個人表現性的書寫藝術創作。論述主要透過相關英文文獻資料探討,以「非語義」書寫為核心,探究西方書法和書寫之狀態,形成本研究的中心論點。研究的動機是從個人學習西方書法時感受到的束縛,而接觸到中國書法後才逐漸意識到一種自由,進而探討個人的藝術創作與「解放書寫」的過程。
本論述內涵包括:第一章探討研究的動機、目標、方法和架構。第二章分析西方書寫的歷史、基礎,並探討非語義書寫在現代的相關性,以一種非傳統的視角,挑戰語言的偏見,強調非語義書寫的自由、多元表達與藝術潛力。第三章為解放書寫的界限,呈現個人觀點和藝術創作的演變,並詳細紀錄創作實踐的過程與媒材。 第四章解析自我藝術創作脈絡、作品形式和內容。結論中結合非語義書寫的重要性和藝術實踐為主要見解。藉由個人的優勢,提高對書寫的理解和熟練程度,並為藝術領域更廣泛的理解做出貢獻,並期許本論述能提供在地的藝術家及書法家有機會深入理解西方書寫意識形態的深刻差異。

This thesis aims to analyze the essence of writing as a fundamental mode of expression, challenging the traditional constraints that tie writing to legibility and speech. The thesis primarily uses English literature for discussion, and delves into “asemic” writing, western calligraphy, and the state of writing, which form the central argument of the study. Motivation for this research arises from the feeling of constraint I felt while studying western calligraphy. The subsequent sense of freedom I discovered through exposure to Chinese calligraphy led to an exploration of personal artistic creation through under the topic of "the liberation of writing."
The contents of this thesis are: Chapter one explains research motivation, objectives, methodology, and structure; Chapter Two analyzes the historical foundations of Western writing, examines the relevance of asemic writing in modern times, challenges the bias of language from a non-traditional perspective, as well as emphasizes freedom, diverse expression, and artistic potential within asemic writing; Chapter Three presents my personal perspective, evolution of my creative artworks, and records my creative process and materials in detail as I explore the boundaries of the liberation writing; Chapter Four analyzes the context, form, and content of my creative artworks; the conclusion summarizes the importance of asemic writing and artistic practice into key insights. By leveraging personal strengths, I aim to enhance my understanding and proficiency of writing, contribute to a broader understanding in the field of art and provide local artists and calligraphers with an opportunity to understand deeply the profound differences in Western writing ideology.
