The 20mm machine gun is an all-purpose short-haul gun capable of producing continuous rounds at a high firing rate. Based on our knowledge of these features, the present thesis has the intention to build a practicable firing control system, integrating target information from the image system. Because the image system can only extract target-point information, the firing control system contains three Kalman-Filter to observe target status (velocity and acceleration in X-, Y-, Z- direction). The thesis also a lead-correction method, which can be used to predict target tion, and develops a fuzzy controller for good fire timing. we give two methods for designing shot- point distribution, in to enhance the hitting rate. At the end of this thesis, we set up some hypotheses to appraise the performance of the firing control system. On the whole, this esis proposes a practicable firing control system and a environment for further development.
