本文針對我國製造業,進行有關工資決定因素之研究。將製造業下的二十
二個中分業分成民生工業類、化學工業類、金屬機械業及電子精密業類等
四大業類。由於製造業下各中分業的性質差異頗大,因此本文分別就製造
業整體,四大類別及二十二個中分業進行探討,比較影響工資決定因素在
這些業別中是否有所差異。實證模型是以Mincer的人力資本模型為基礎,
使用民國80至83年之「人力運用調查」中之製造業的資料,計35,312筆。
工資方程式中,所採用的變數是根據過去文獻歸納而得,包括性別、婚姻
狀況、教育水準、潛在工作經驗、現職年資、工作經驗平方、現職年資平
方、廠商規模與公民營。並分別以工資率及月薪取對數作為應變數進行回
歸分析,並預期男性、已婚、受教育年數、工作經驗與現值年資較長。在
大型廠商。公營企業的工作者將擁有較高的工資,而工作經驗與現職年資
對工資增加影響的效果是遞減的。結果歸納如下: 1、製造業整體根據工
資方程式迴歸的結果,各項變數與工資間的關係,均與原先的預期相符,
且統計結果大都十分顯著。 2、四大業類愈是屬於技術密集、資本密集的
業類,教育投資對工資增加的效果愈大。就四類而言,每增加一個教育年
數,對工資增加的效果,介於4.0%-- 6.2%之間。工資的規模效果,以金
屬機械業類最大,約在0.11 %,電子精密業類最低,為0.005%。 3、個中
分業性別、教育水準、工作經驗、現職年資及工作經驗與現職年資的平方
等的迴歸結果均符合預期。技術密集的行業,各業的年資最短,但工資的
效果最大,似乎顯示其廠商強調特定型人力資本的重要性。在女性比例愈
高的行業,婚姻狀況統計結果的顯著水準則下降,或是未達顯著水準。以
小型廠商為主的行業,則更為強調技藝或技術,而不論其屬傳統性質的勞
力密集業或是新興之資本密集業,規模效果均不顯著。公民營受樣本分佈
不均的影響,結果多不顯著。
